Hi, my name is Angel! Over the years, "Angel's Place" has had many meanings to me. When I was a teenager living in a group home for girls, I created a "'zine". Using a typerwriter loaned to me by one of my houseparents, I would type out poems and stories written by myself, and sometimes some of the other kids at the group home. I would use the copy machine in the office to reproduce it, and sell copies to the staff members. Later on I created my first website, which was basically an online version of my 'zine. At one point, "Angel's Place" was the home of a child abuse memorial website. Later, it became a personal blog. 

 

A lot of time has passed since I was that young kid with a typerwriter and some lofty ideas! Since then, I discovered that working with children with special needs was one of my passions in life. I had a lot of false starts but I eventually earned my special ed teaching degree. Now, I'm working to move to Oregon, where I hope to find a teaching job and start a new life. 

 

This time around Angel's Place is a website about activities for children. Whether you are a parent, a teacher, a child care worker, a babysitter, a grandparent, or anyone at all who spends time with kids... and whether you are around children 24/7 or just a few days a year... you will find ideas here to enrich their lives

I've saved up a little money from substitute teaching and teaching a summer school program, but not enough to give me a good start in Oregon.
